October is comingāin just two short days we officially step into the heart of fall and all things spooky season! š From pumpkin patches to Halloween parties, this is the time of year when everything feels a little cozier, a little spookier, and a whole lot more fun. Hereās a short list of festive things to do this October.
1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch š
Nothing says fall like wandering through rows of pumpkins, sipping apple cider, and hunting for the perfect one to carve. Whether you go for a giant pumpkin to show off on your porch or a tiny one to decorate your desk, a pumpkin patch trip is a must.
2. Halloween Movie Night šæš»
October nights are made for blankets, popcorn, and spooky movies. Queue up the classics, Hocus Pocus, Casper, Practical Magic (Time it right for the midnight margaritas š), or if you like me crack open the real spooky ones!for the perfect fall lineup. Add hot chocolate or cider, and you have a magical night in.
3. DIY Ghost š»šŖ“
This outdoor ghost is super easy and inexpensive to make and looks adorable on your porch or lawn!
- Grab a tomato/plant cage and flip it upside down so the pointed ends are at the top.
- Place a round foam ball or even a balloon on top for the āhead.ā
- Drape white fabric or cheesecloth over the whole thing so it flows down like a ghost body.
- Use black felt, paper, or a marker to make big ghost eyes and a mouth.
- Optional: add battery-powered lights underneath so your ghost glows at night!
Itās a quick, budget-friendly way to add a touch of Halloween charm to your yard.
4. Cinnamon Air-Fried Apples šāØ
This recipe is quick, cozy, and tastes like a mini apple pie without the fuss:
- Slice apples into thick wedges.
- Toss them lightly with a little melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Place in the air fryer at 375°F for 8ā10 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Drizzle with a simple icing (powdered sugar + a splash of milk) before serving.
These are delicious on their own, or you can top them with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate fall dessert.
5. Halloween Parties š
From fun costumes to sweet treat overload, October is the season for parties! Whether itās a big bash or a small get-together with friends, dressing up and celebrating is the best way to wrap yourself in the magic of spooky season.
šāØ October is finally hereāand itās time to embrace every pumpkin, every spooky movie, and every cozy night this season has to offer.
